A practical guide to visiting Topgolf Dubai (prices, bays, best time to go).

Topgolf Dubai is one of those experiences that feels far more like a night out than a sports session.

You’re not turning up to grind through a bucket of balls. You’re stepping into something closer to bowling, just with a skyline, a driver, and a lot more fresh air.

I went in expecting a driving range. What you actually get is a social experience built around golf, not the other way round.

And crucially… you don’t need to be any good.

At a Glance

  • Location: Emirates Golf Club, Dubai

  • Activity: Interactive driving range / social golf

  • Bays: 96 total (up to 6 people per bay)

  • Setting: Overlooking Dubai Marina skyline

  • Price: From AED130 per bay (not per person)

  • Food & Drink: Full table service in each bay

  • Best time to go: Around 5pm for sunset into evening

  • Skill level: Doesn’t matter in the slightest

Watch the full experience on YouTube below.

What Topgolf Dubai actually is

Less golf, more experience

If you’re picturing a traditional driving range, park that.

Topgolf is structured more like a game. You hit balls into large targets spread across the outfield, scoring points depending on distance and accuracy.

It’s closer to bowling than golf.

You rotate turns, keep score on a screen, and spend most of your time laughing at each other’s attempts rather than analysing your swing.

And that’s the point.

The setup inside each bay

Each bay is essentially your own private space:

  • 6-person capacity

  • Sofa seating + table

  • Digital scoring screens

  • Clubs and balls provided

  • Full food and drink service

You’re not moving around. Everything comes to you.

It feels more like a booth at a bar than a sports facility.

Rows of bays, each its own little game — part driving range, part social hangout

The setting is doing a lot of the work

The range faces directly out towards Dubai Marina, which means:

  • Daytime = clean skyline views

  • Evening = sunset across the city

  • Night = full lights-on atmosphere

If you time it right, the setting carries the experience.

When to go (this matters)

If you’re deciding when to book:

  • Best window: 5pm onwards

  • You get daylight → sunset → night in one session

  • The atmosphere builds as the evening goes on

Go earlier and it’s more functional. Go later and it’s more social.

Topgolf Dubai prices (and how it works)

One of the most important things to understand:

You pay per bay, not per person.

So if there are 4–6 of you, it becomes very reasonable.

Starting price

From AED130 per hour (Sun–Wed, daytime)

Typical pricing structure

  • Sun–Wed

    • 11am–5pm: AED130

    • 5pm–12am: AED180

  • Thu

    • 11am–5pm: AED180

    • 5pm–12am: AED220

  • Fri–Sat

    • Day: AED180

    • Evening: AED220

You’ll be offered extra time towards the end of your session, which most groups end up taking.

Things to know before you go

1. This is not about golf ability

You can completely miss the ball and still have a good time.

In fact, most people do.

2. Food and drink is part of the experience

You’re not stepping away between shots.

Everything is brought to your bay, which turns it into:

  • part activity

  • part bar

  • part social hangout

3. There’s more inside the venue

There’s also:

  • A sports bar

  • Indoor mini golf (The Bunker)

  • Additional seating areas

Worth knowing if you want to extend the night.

It replaces a typical “night out”

This is the key shift.

Instead of:

  • dinner → bar → activity

You get all three in one place.

Is Topgolf Dubai worth it?

Arrival at Topgolf Dubai — less sports venue, more entertainment complex

Yes — but not for the reason you might think.

If you’re going purely for golf, you’ll probably find better places to hit balls.

If you’re going for a social experience built around sport, it’s one of the easiest wins in Dubai.

It works because:

  • it’s simple

  • it’s accessible

  • the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting

  • and no one feels out of place

You don’t need to be a golfer. You just need a group.
