How to get cheap tickets to the Monaco Grand Prix for less than £40

Updated: Aug 22

The Monaco Grand Prix. It’s the Formula One race everyone wants to be at. It’s the French Riviera, the street circuit, the harbour, the history… it’s where thrilling sporting action meets the glitz & glamour like no other sporting event.

And given everything Formula One in Monte Carlo represents you would not be laughed at for thinking there's no way you could find an affordable ticket to attend. But, right now, you can get cheap tickets to the Monaco grand Prix for less than £40... here is how.

A quick side note, in this article I will also guide you to a ticket which will get you into hospitality on the terrace of the Hotel De Paris for less than £600.

Can the Monaco Grand Prix be affordable?
Can the Monaco Grand Prix be affordable?

It’s a sporting occasion that transcends the sport of Formula One…. A race which attracts F1 fans, casual fans and non fans in equal spades.

As you walk the streets of the Principality on the Mediterranean coast during F1 weekend there's celebrities at every turn, stunning backdrops and always drama on track.

It goes without saying, the Monaco Grand Prix is on most people’s sporting bucket list, but how do you attend without breaking the bank?

Well, it's all in the planning. Most F1 races go on sale in the weeks after one race finishes. So for the Monaco Grand Prix, normally scheduled in May each year - you want to start looking for tickets in early summer. If you get in early, and you can find some brilliant deals.

Even at this stage, mid-August, I’ve just bought my ticket to the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix and I paid... wait for it, just £39 plus a minimum booking fee. The trick? There isn’t one really, apart from getting organised early so you can book as soon as possible.

The 2025 Monaco Grand Prix weekend takes place between May 23rd - May 25th 2025.

So what does £39 get you at the Monaco Grand Prix? Well, for full transparency, that price is a Friday only ticket and in the General Admission area known as La Rocher. It's a steep(ish) patch of land which overlooks the harbour, Anthony Noghes corner and some of the Swimming Pool complex, so this option is not for those who want to feel like they are part of the glitz & glamour or don't fancy a little hustling to find a good view.

But I don't care, I'm there to witness this sporting spectacle and Friday is no bad day to visit an F1 weekend, especially one in Monte Carlo. I'll be treated to two practice sessions and the buzz around the streets as I dive into one of the world's most famous destinations, during a weekend when much of the world has its eyes on it.

If you want to quickly snap up your Monaco Grand Prix tickets for prices as cheap as I paid, you can find the best value tickets here.

Whilst I am clearly doing the Monaco Grand Prix on a budget, there are still tickets available for Sunday's race and I have to say the prices currently listed are extremely good value to be at the most historic race there is on the Formula One calendar.

What's even more remarkable is the tickets in question are hospitality tickets. For example, you could be located on the terrace at the Hotel De Paris, enjoying a 3 Michelin Star 4-course meal, and the price right now is £522. That is incredible value for the Monaco Grand Prix and you can look at what option suits you best here.

So, what will the experience be like witnessing the Monaco Grand Prix for just £39? Well, I'll be the first to let you know. I can't wait for May 2025. Whilst the cars on track on pushing for position, I will no dount be doing the same on the banks of La Rocher.

Sometimes in sport, you can find some great deals you can't let pass you by. And the Monaco Grand Prix in 2025 is dishing out a few of them! See you there?
