The 2025 Ryder Cup is now less than a year away so now is a good time to start thinking about how you can get your hands on Ryder Cup tickets. Here's my guide so you have the best chance of attending.
The Ryder Cup is one of those sporting events that is on so many people's sports travel bucket list isn't it? The scenes from the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome in September 2023 were brilliant to see, especially for European fans.
In 2025, the next instalment of The Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage Black Course which is in Farmingdale, New York. It is the USA's turn to host the biennial golfing event between the 26th and 28th September. Farmingdale is actually a village within the town of Oyster Bay on Long Island and is just under 60 miles from Manhattan so it will be a brilliant week to visit New York and be part of one of the world's most iconic sporting events?
The Ryder Cup at the best of times is a brilliant experience, but it will be special being held in New York with the sights and sounds of Manhattan combined with the best golf tournament on the planet.
How to buy Ryder Cup 2025 tickets
The official Ryder Cup 2025 ticket site is now inviting fans to register which will then put you into a ballot. Registration doesn't guarantee you a ticket, but if you are selected in the ballot you will be invited to buy a ticket in November when general admission tickets go on-sale.
It's important to note that if you are selected and decide to purchase a ticket, you will not be able to reassign that ticket to somebody else. So before you buy, make sure you can make the event.
As you can imagine demand for tickets is extraordinarily high, given the Ryder Cup is one of those sports events that transcends golf. It's an event most sports fans would love to attend, so demand is super high.
In 2023 for the Ryder Cup in Rome, the competition broke all previous attendance records with over 250,000 spectators over the three days. The last time the USA hosted the tournament around 150,000 fans were there. New York State have said they expect around 225,000 fans to attend the Ryder Cup in 2025, but the number of fans hoping for a ticket will be much larger.
Another option for Ryder Cup tickets is StubHub.com. But I would exercise caution if taking this approach. Whilst they have tickets on-sale right now, they are banking on getting a number of tickets when the official Ryder Cup tickets officially go on-sale.
StubHub do offer there FanProtect guarantee and say that tickets will be delivered to you in time. I spoke to them today and they also added that should for whatever reason the ticket is not be delivered to you then a full refund or alternative option will be offered.
It of course feels strange when the official Ryder Cup ticket website is asking fans to register for the ballot whilst another website is already selling tickets. I will continue to look into it and update this page as required.
What Ryder Cup ticket packages are available?
If you are fairly flexible on budget and want to absolutely secure your place at the Ryder Cup before the ballot then the best avenue to go down is to book one of the travel packages, which are on sale now.
There a range of options from sports travel package providers such as On Location which is the PGA of America's official travel package provider, Your Golf Travel and Golf Breaks.
Prices range from around $4000 to $10,000 for multi-day packages and $1000 for single day packages with hotels in Manhattan included as well as transfers from hotel to golf course each day. Here's an overview of what is available.
On Location have a couple of day packages available both priced at $1,100 for Friday and $1,350 for either Saturday or Sunday. The day packages will get you access to the golf course on a Grounds Access ticket, food and beverage at the golf course and access to Five Iron Golf Grand Central - which is a golf themed bar located next to Grand Central Station in Manhattan or Five Iron Golf Herald Square next to Penn Station. No transport from Manhattan to Bethpage is included.
Also available from On Location are multi-day packages with prices starting from $4,275 for two nights at the JW Marriott Essex House Hotel which includes a Sunday Ground Access ticket, food and beverage at the golf course and transport from the hotel to the venue.
The multi-day packages have various options rising to a five night hotel stay which gives you a Grounds Access ticket for Thursday-Sunday with prices starting from $11,395 based on two people sharing a room. The price rises to $14,495 if just one person is in a room. This also includes access to the Ryder Cup Captains Reception and everything else the cheaper packages have such as transport.
Golfbreaks is the official golf tourism operator by the PGA Tour and has some good value packages available.
For £4,999 per person you can get a 4-night stay at the Lexington Hotel, Ryder Cup season ticket for Thursday-Sunday, and tickets each day for the exclusive train that will go fro Manhattan to Bethpage. I'm led to believe this train will be called the Ryder Cup Express. Sounds like the best train ever!
Golfbreaks also have a 5-night option which is just a little more priced at £5,299 if you wanted to spend a little more time in New York City.
YourGolfTravel also has a range of packages available starting at £5995 and rising to £7345.
Each price essentially offers the same experience with a Ryder Cup season ticket for Thursday - Sunday, the daily Ryder Cup Express train transfer and events such as the welcome party included. The price here is based on the number of people booking with the higher price the cost for one person, and the lower options based on two people sharing a twin room either for four nights or five.
It's worth pointing out that none of the above packages include flights.
I hope that helps with your planning to be at the Ryder Cup next September. It is one brilliant sports event, and to see the thrill of the tournament play out in person is second-to-none. Let me know in the comments below if you are trying your luck in the ballot or if you are choosing a travel package! Good luck either way!
