The UEFA Women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland is taking place next summer between the 2nd and 27th July and today, October 1st, tickets went on sale for the first time through UEFA's official portal.
If you're looking to explore Switzerland and attend some of the biggest games, then now is the time to buy Women's Euro 2025 tickets with prices starting from 25 Swiss Francs for Category Two tickets.
In total UEFA are hoping to sell around 720,000 tickets for the tournament which will be played across 31 matches in eight different Swiss cities and in the first initial ticket sale, 120,000 tickets have been made available which will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Whilst I know ticket holders during the tournament will be able to get free public transport options on the day of the match they are attending, by booking early you can also make more savings.
The draw will be made on December 16th 2024, at which point each team will know where they will be playing for the Group Stages and it is at this time hotels and airlines will increase prices due to the demand of fans descending on the host cities where their teams will be playing.
Thankfully due to Switzerland's relatively small size and excellent transport network, no matter where you are based means you will never be too far away from the match you are attending.
The biggest distance between host cities is between Geneva and St. Gallen, which can be travelled by train in around four hours.
I would suggest booking a base in Zurich, the biggest Swiss city that has plenty of options for accommodation and multiple transport links. Zurich is also a central area of Switzerland meaning all host cities are within a three-hour train journey give or take a few minutes, making a match visit possible within one day.
Typical hotel stays in Zurich if you book now are still reasonable too, with hotel options for under £500 for a three-night stay during the opening weekend of the tournament.
The eight host cities for the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 are Basel, Burn, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Sion and Thun.
You can buy your tickets at the UEFA website once you have registered for an account.
If you missed out on the first wave of tickets, don't panic, there will be further opportunities to buy tickets to next summer's Women's Euros. If you did buy tickets, but are worried you won't be able to make it, there will be an official UEFA ticket resale which will enable you to sell your tickets back to UEFA at sale price in Spring of 2025.
Are you hoping to attend the Women's Euro 25 tournament? I think it will be a brilliant occasion, and a great country to visit at the same time. Let me know in the comments below what your plans might be... and don't forget, making savings now is a good idea as Switzerland is an expensive place for food, drinks and general living.
