At a Glance: This Week's Sports Ticket Updates
Queen's Tennis 2027: General sale opens 10 November at 10am, with priority access for eligible LTA Advantage members from 3–8 November.
Italian Grand Prix 2027: Three-day general viewing-area tickets at Monza were showing high availability at €126, excluding additional booking fees.
Rugby World Cup 2027: Tickets remain available for selected matches in Australia, with prices varying considerably by fixture.
The Ashes 2027: Lord's ticket ballot closes 26 October, while The Kia Oval ballot closes 15 November. Selected Day 5 tickets and Women's Ashes tickets are also available.
NFL at Wembley 2026: Jacksonville Jaguars v Houston Texans on Sunday 18 October, with tickets available from £106 when checked.
Ticket information researched on 16 October 2026. Prices and availability are subject to change.
1. Queen's 2027: Ticket Sale Dates Announced
If you're thinking of attending the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club next summer, November is the month to have in your diary.
The Lawn Tennis Association has confirmed when tickets for both the women's WTA 500 and men's ATP 500 tournaments will go on sale.
Key ticket dates:
3–8 November: Priority window for Fan+ and Compete LTA Advantage members, opening at 10am.
10 November: General sale opens at 10am.
5–13 June 2027: Women's WTA 500 tournament.
12–20 June 2027: Men's ATP 500 tournament.
The priority window requires an eligible LTA Advantage membership. Members can access their priority code through their account or by email.
And there's another interesting development: Carlos Alcaraz and Linda Nosková have already been confirmed as the first players for the 2027 championships.
My ticket tip: If Queen's is on your sporting calendar for next summer, check the different LTA Advantage membership options before the priority window opens. You may find it worthwhile securing earlier access rather than waiting until general sale.

2. Italian Grand Prix 2027: Three-Day Tickets Available at Monza for €126
Fancy combining a trip to Italy with a Formula 1 weekend?
One of the most interesting ticket opportunities I've found is at Monza, home of the Italian Grand Prix and Ferrari's passionate Tifosi.
The 2027 Italian Grand Prix takes place from 3–5 September, and the TicketOne platform is already listing tickets for the weekend.
When I checked the ticket map on 15 October, the Circolare Prato general viewing area, Sector 8, was showing high availability at the following prices:
Sunday ticket: €100.
Three-day ticket: €126.
These prices exclude additional service and booking fees.
Importantly, these aren't reserved grandstand seats. They're tickets for a general viewing area, so your experience and view will be different from a numbered grandstand ticket.
But at €126 for the three days, it looks like a particularly interesting option for someone wanting to experience the atmosphere of an iconic Formula 1 race without paying grandstand prices.
My travel tip: Monza is near Milan, making this a potential city-break and sporting-event combination. Before buying, compare accommodation in Milan and Monza, and research transport to the circuit. General viewing areas can also reward arriving early to find a good position.
If you're considering travelling to a Formula 1 race, my experience of attending the Monaco Grand Prix offers another perspective on ticket options, travel and enjoying a Grand Prix weekend.

3. Rugby World Cup 2027: Tickets Still Available in Australia
The 2027 Men's Rugby World Cup takes place in Australia from 1 October to 13 November, and there are still opportunities to buy tickets for selected matches.
The tournament will feature 24 nations and 52 matches across seven host cities.
Tickets originally went on sale in several phases, with the latest general sale opening on 1 October 2026.
The important thing to understand is that prices can vary enormously between fixtures.
The tournament has offered some lower-priced standing categories for selected matches.
However, those shouldn't be confused with the prices currently available for the biggest games.
For example, when I checked the official ticketing platform, the opening match was displaying remaining tickets around A$275.
That illustrates why it's important to check individual matches rather than rely on the original advertised starting prices.
How to check availability:
Create or sign into your Rugby World Cup ticketing account.
Select your preferred match and host city.
Review the ticket categories and remaining prices.
Compare several fixtures before committing to travel arrangements.
My travel tip: If you're planning a trip from the UK, investigate several matches in the same region rather than automatically targeting one blockbuster fixture. It could give you a better balance of ticket cost, travel time and sporting experiences.
There are also official ticket-inclusive travel and hospitality packages for supporters looking for a more comprehensive booking option.

4. The Ashes 2027: Where Can You Still Get Tickets?
England will host Australia in both the men's and women's Ashes in 2027, and demand is already substantial.
General sale for England's 2027 home internationals opened this week at most venues, but many of the most popular men's Test match days have already sold out.
However, there are still opportunities worth investigating.
Men's Ashes: Sold-out dates and remaining opportunities
According to the ECB, standard public tickets for Days 1–4 are currently sold out at:
Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Utilita Bowl, Southampton.
Additional allocations may become available, so it's worth monitoring the official host venue websites.
Lord's and The Oval ballots
Two important ballot deadlines are approaching.
Lord's: The public ticket ballot closes on 26 October 2026. It includes the men's Ashes Test taking place from 30 June to 4 July, alongside other 2027 international fixtures.
The Kia Oval: The ticket ballot closes on 15 November 2026. It includes the final men's Ashes Test, scheduled for 29 July to 2 August, and the women's Ashes T20 on 6 July.
Entering either ballot doesn't guarantee tickets, but both provide an opportunity to access highly sought-after fixtures.
What about Day 5 tickets?
When I researched the available options, selected grounds were advertising Day 5 tickets from as little as £10–£25.
These can be an interesting, lower-cost way to watch Test cricket, but there's an obvious risk: the match might finish before the fifth day.
Always check the individual venue's refund policy before buying.
Having experienced Day 5 of Test cricket at The Oval myself, I've shared what it's like to attend the final day of a Test match and what you can expect.
Women's Ashes: More ticket options
There's also good news for supporters wanting to experience the Women's Ashes.
The ECB reports good availability across the women's fixtures, including the Test at Headingley and several white-ball internationals.
My ticket tip: Don't assume the men's Ashes is completely sold out. Check the outstanding ballots, potential new allocations and Day 5 options. And consider the women's series, which offers another opportunity to experience an England–Australia rivalry.

5. NFL at Wembley This Sunday: Tickets Still Available from £73
Fancy a last-minute sporting trip to London this weekend?
The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 18 October 2026, with kick-off at 2:30pm.
And the good news is that tickets are still available!
When I checked the official Jaguars ticketing website on 16 October, there were multiple seating options available, from £106.
That's a particularly interesting opportunity if you've been thinking about experiencing an NFL game in London but haven't managed to secure a ticket.
How to get tickets
The Jaguars operate their own official ticketing website for the Wembley game.
Here's what you need to know:
Fixture: Jacksonville Jaguars v Houston Texans
Date: Sunday 18 October 2026
Venue: Wembley Stadium, London
Kick-off: 2:30pm
Ticket price checked: £73, Block 516, Category 9
Availability: Multiple seating options were displayed when checked on 16 October
You can select tickets through the stadium seating map or search by ticket category and price.
Prices and availability may change as matchday approaches.
My sports travel tip
I've attended NFL games myself, and part of the appeal is experiencing the whole matchday, not simply the action on the field.
If you're travelling to Wembley, I'd recommend arriving early enough to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere and allowing plenty of time for transport and stadium entry.
Wembley is easily reached using London's public transport network, but plan your journey in advance, particularly if you're travelling from outside the capital.
If you're looking for a last-minute sporting experience this weekend, this is definitely one worth considering.

Five very different ticket opportunities, from a weekend of Formula 1 in Italy to a major tournament in Australia and a last-minute NFL opportunity in London.
Some tickets are already available. Others require entering a ballot or preparing for an upcoming sale.
What matters is knowing where to look, when to act and how to buy through legitimate channels.
I'll be publishing a new Ticket Notebook every Friday, alongside my own sporting travel experiences and practical destination guides.
